Fantasiana has officially launched its latest star attraction, Helios, a state-of-the-art roller coaster that promises to redefine thrill-seeking in Austria.

Developed by the renowned manufacturer Mack Rides, the addition of Helios is the park's most ambitious project to date. It is the second installation of the Stryker Coaster model worldwide, following Voltron Nevera at Europa-Park last year.

The highly-themed ride opened to the public on April 12, 2025.

Replacing the beloved Wild Train coaster, which operated from 2005 to 2024, Helios stands as a testament to Fantasiana's commitment to innovation and guest experience. The new coaster reaches a height of 23 metres and spans 470 metres in length, delivering speeds up to 75 km/h. Riders can anticipate a series of exhilarating elements, including three inversions: a corkscrew, a barrel roll downdrop, and another corkscrew, as well as an outward-banked airtime hill

Situated in the newly themed 'Sonnenbucht' (Sun Bay) area of the park, Helios features individual Stryker Coaster cars, each accommodating eight passengers in two rows of four. Enhancing the overall experience, each of the cars are equipped with an onboard sound system, synchronizing audio effects with the ride's dynamic movements.

Visitors eager to experience Helios should plan their visit to Fantasiana, conveniently located just 30 minutes from Salzburg. With this new addition, the park solidifies its reputation as a premier destination for cutting-edge amusement attractions in Austria.
